TIM MARTORELLA

Tim Martorella is the founding principal of Madison Capital Group, which he has led since its inception in 1998. He has been responsible for the financing or sale of more than $8 billion of real estate in his career, including over $4 billion of multifamily and residential development. 

Tim Martorella is also the principal of Madison Capital Investors, a real estate and private equity investment firm, and is responsible for overseeing all of its activities.  He currently manages a portfolio of real estate and private equity investments, consisting of wholly owned real estate assets, real estate partnership equity interests, real estate fund interests, operating company and private placement investments, and public securities.

Tim was previously a partner at Boston Financial, a $7 billion asset real estate investment firm acquired by Lend Lease RE Investments, and a Director within the firm’s Investment Banking Group. He managed Boston Financials’ New York City office and its Capital Strategies and Principal Investments divisions.

Prior to joining Boston Financial, Tim was a principal and founding partner of Alliance Realty Capital, a real estate investment banking firm that was acquired by Boston Financial in 1995. He previously served in various investment and investment banking positions with Merrill Lynch Capital Markets, Prudential Realty Group and Boston Properties.

Tim was an Echols Scholar at the University of Virginia where he earned degrees in Economics and Computer Science. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating with Distinction. 

Tim actively supports a number of charitable organizations in the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Carrfour Supportive Housing.


ROBERT LIBERTINI

Robert serves as a Managing Director for Madison Capital Group. He has extensive experience structuring equity, mezzanine, and debt transactions for developers and operators of commercial real estate projects. His experience covers a wide array of transactions throughout the capital stack for a variety of clients spanning from development projects to fully stabilized properties. In his role, Robert works closely with the firm’s client base spearheading their overall capital raising needs. 

Prior to Madison, Robert served as the Head of Capital Markets for Mattoni Group, a private equity real estate investment firm that specializes in investing equity and debt with experienced operating and development partners. Robert was responsible for all aspects of capital raising and investor relations as well as working with the firm’s clients throughout the entire investment process. Among his other achievements, he was instrumental in the creation of a joint-venture with a global institutional credit investor for the firm’s CRE, NPL & REO platforms. 

Previously, Robert served as managing director at Lloyd Jones Capital, a private equity real estate firm specializing in value-add multifamily investments for institutional investors. His primary responsibility included the facilitation of institutional joint-venture equity for the firm’s real estate investments as well as implementing proprietary capital raising strategies.

Before that, Robert was a founding member and senior managing director for Cabrera Capital Markets, a Chicago-based boutique investment bank and broker-dealer.  The Firm provides investment banking and full-service institutional brokerage services worldwide. He was central in developing the firm’s municipal bond business, fixed income and debt capital markets division as well as establishing the firm’s money management affiliate which created a joint-venture with a London-based hedge fund group that had over $20B in AUM.   

Earlier in his career, Robert held financial positions with both Unilever Corporation and Cumberland Farms-Gulf Oil. He also served on the board of directors of Joyent, a cloud computing start-up, that successfully completed several rounds of financings and was sold in 2016.

Robert received both a Master of Science in Finance (MSF) degree and a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College. He also holds securities licenses 7, 24, 27, 63, and 65.


GENE DEROSE

Gene DeRose is Chief Operating Officer and a Director at Madison Capital Group, where he manages all aspects of the company’s operations and oversees the communications and digital initiatives of the commercial real estate firm’s investment, advisory and merchant banking lines of business.

Gene has a 25+ year track record as a founder and c-level executive of prominent companies in technology, media and digital commerce, having raised hundreds of millions of dollars of venture capital, grown staff and operations, overseen m&a efforts, and successfully exited businesses via acquisition, merger or initial public offering.

Gene served for over a decade as ceo of technology research company Jupiter Communications, where he authored or edited seminal research studies defining the growth of digital advertising, commerce, news, and entertainment. As ceo and chairman, he grew Jupiter to a $100m company which he took public (NASD:JPTR) then sold to Media Metrix in a $414 million transaction.

Gene subsequently served for two years as president and chief operating officer of Jupiter as well as Media Metrix’s measurement businesses in advertising and digital media properties. Most recently, Gene was EVP of Global Business Development of Turbotic, a Swedish venture-backed based pioneer in A.I. powered enterprise automation. Before that, Gene was co-founder of Skymarker Labs, where he developed one of the first location social media apps. He is also co-founder (and currently vice chairman) of House Party, Inc., a social media / influencer marketing company he was for many years ceo of. 

Gene has been an advisor to young entrepreneurs, a technology investor, and a director of several digital and non-profit ventures, including MOUSE (past chairman), which empowers inner city students through technology, and  Opengate (longtime chairman), which provides housing and medical services for developmentally disabled adults.

DeRose has spoken widely and been featured on television, major news media and conferences around the world. DeRose is a University of Virgina graduate with a degree in English Literature.


RON MANN

Ron has extensive experience working with companies looking to raise capital, deploy their financial resources as well as grow and expand their business presence in the market. His career has covered key industry sectors such as private equity, real estate development, external communications and government relations. He is primarily responsible for the firm’s client management and business development activities as well as individual and corporate communications.

Mann has been involved in the financial funding and operations of several media and technology firms and was instrumental in the launch of Rediff USA (NASDAQ: REDF), a worldwide media and technology company that broadened the reach of the burgeoning Asian-Indian Market throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.

As the President of Executive Publishing Group, Ron was involved in the publication of several industry and trade magazines in the South Florida area. He has also managed and hosted numerous industry focused conferences that covered the commercial real estate, finance and investment communities in the region.

Most recently, Ron was the Chief Marketing Officer for the Florida Alternative Investment Association, an exclusive membership organization created to establish Florida as an internationally leading center for alternative investment management. Members include many of the region’s top private equity firms, hedge funds, portfolio managers and family offices.

Ron’s expertise and experience in an array of industry sectors including real estate, financial services, asset allocation and business development provides comprehensive advisory and capital raising opportunities for the firms in which he is affiliated with. 

Ron is also a licensed Florida Real Estate Agent and sits on the board of the Miami Chapter of the Asian American Real Estate Association, a nationwide group with 17,000 members in 40 cities. 

Ron is a graduate of the University of Miami with a BA in Business/Marketing and communications.


VERONIKA MEZHLUMYAN

Financial Analyst

Veronika Mezhlumyan has been a Financial Analyst at Madison Capital Group since 2022. She is part of the team that underwrites and manages transactions, and she is responsible for market research and preparation of offering memorandums. Veronika is also part of Madison’s digital team, supporting the company’s communications efforts on social media and through it’s online investor network portal.

Before joining Madison Capital Group, Veronika was a portfolio manager at the Central Bank of Armenia, where she executed trades with various financial instruments and effectively managed the state foreign reserves. Prior to her role in the Central Bank of Armenia, Veronika was a business analyst in the Board's staff at INECOBANK.  She reviewed and summarized reports related to the bank's strategy, finance, and risks. She actively monitored the bank's financial results and the performance of its key divisions.

Veronika also worked as a Financial Analyst at COGNAIZE CJSC. She was responsible for analyzing and processing financial statements. She actively participated in testing an internally developed AI application.

Veronika obtained her bachelor's degree in Business from the American University of Armenia.
